Georgia’s data center construction boom is reshaping demand for skilled trades workers across the state, according to a new Atlanta Journal-Constitution report that features EverOn Data Center Services CEO Tom Mertz.

Citing a national survey from the Associated General Contractors of America, the AJC reports that data center construction is driving demand for skilled trades labor faster than the broader construction industry has seen in recent years.

“There’s only so many people who can do this,” said Tom Mertz, CEO of EverOn Data Center Services, a data center-focused general contractor based in Atlanta.

EverOn has spent nearly two decades building expertise exclusively around digital infrastructure construction. The company has developed a workforce strategy centered on recruiting, training and deploying specialized trades talent at scale to support that growth across Georgia’s data center market.
